R&D Magazine announced the 2014 R&D 100 Awards on July 11, 2014. Hysitron received the prestigious recognition for its excellence in technology innovation(xSoL High Temperature Stage )for the second time, and the previous award was gained for its development of mechanical property testing systems in the TEM in 2006. The R&D 100 Award, called the "Oscars of Inventions”, recognizes and celebrates the top 100 technology products of the year.
Past winners have included sophisticated testing equipment, innovative new materials, chemistry breakthroughs, biomedical products, consumer items, and high-energy physics. The R&D 100 Awards span industry, academia and government-sponsored research.
