Successful conclusion of the 2014 International Workshop on Materials Behavior at the Micro- and Nano-scale

On the morning of June 25th, the 7th International Workshop on Materials Behavior at the Micro- and Nano-scale came to the last part. This part included six reports given by Prof. Judith Yang, Dr. Xiao Feng Zhang, Prof. Yao Shen, Dr. Wei Zhang, Dr. Liang Wan and a PhD. candidate Penghan Lu respectively.
Prof. Judith Yang from the University of Pittsburgh was giving the report.
Dr. Xiaofeng Zhang from Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc was giving the report.
Prof. Yao Shen from Shanghai Jiao Tong University was giving the report
At 11:40 am, the continuous reports of the workshop lasted for two and a half days finished. Prof. Zhiwei Shan, the Executive Director of CAMP-Nano, delivered the conclusion speech and also announced the outcome of poster evaluation. Mingshuai Ding, a graduate student from CAMP-Nano, was granted the gold medal. Degang Xie and Xiaoguang Wang, two PhD. candidates of CAMP-Nano, were granted the silver award. Dr. Oden L. Warren, Dr. Xiaofeng Zhang and Prof. Ralph Spolenak presented the prizes to them respectively.

In the afternoon, some of the attendees were showed around CAMP-Nano and then listened to an interesting report about the online lab management system developed by D2 group of CAMP-Nano. At about 4:30 pm, 2014 Workshop on Materials Behavior at the Micro- and Nano-scale hosted by CAMP-Nano came to a successful conclusion.
