Degang Xie，one of doctoral students of CAMP-Nano defended his doctoral dissertation on Jan 9th in room 215 of MSE. Dr. Xie, supervised by Prof. Zhiwei Shan, presented his work during his PHD’s study in a report entitled ‘in situ study of hydrogen effect on interfacial failure and dislocation behavior in single crystal Aluminum’ . He emphasized on the breakthroughs in his dissertation, introduced the achievements during the doctoral research, and responded to the questions from the committees. His magnificent performance was highly appreciated by the committee and he was conferred the PhD degree.
The defense of the dissertation was chaired by Prof. Evan Ma from Johns Hopkins University. The committee members include Prof. Gang Liu from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Prof. Feng Liu from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Prof. Xiaoyan Song from Beijing University of Technology and Prof. Shuhua Liang from Xi'an University of Technology. Besides, the excellent presentation attracted a lot of graduates.
1月9日上午，我中心博士生解德刚博士学位论文答辩会在材料学院215会议室举行。答辩过程中，解德刚博士生就自己的研究课题In situ study of hydrogen effect on interfacial failure and dislocation behavior in single crystal Aluminum进行报告并对答辩专家组成员的提问进行回答，他重点阐述了博士学位论文的突破性成果以及攻读博士学位期间的学术成果，赢得了答辩委员一致肯定，并同意授予其博士学位。
西安交通大学的刘刚教授、西北工业大学的刘峰教授，北京工业大学的宋晓艳及来自西安理工大学的梁淑华教授共五名专家组成的答辩委员会以及作为答辩委员会秘书的西安交通大学王章洁副教授参加了答辩会。此外，答辩会还吸引了许多校内研究生前来观摩。
