The 9th International Workshop on Materials Behavior at Micro- and Nano-Scale organized by Center for Advancing Material Performance from the Nanoscale (CAMP-Nano) and State Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials of Xi’an Jiaotong University was held in Nan Yang Hotel, Xi'an, on the morning of June 1st. The workshop aims to provide a forum for the well-known scientists, researchers and engineers to review recent achievements, discuss the current puzzles and share the visions for the future of advancing materials performance from the nanoscale.
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Jun Sun and Prof. Evan Ma gave the opening remarks and welcomed all the invited speakers and attendants. After this section, Prof. Evan Ma, who is the overseas director of CAMP-Nano, and other several professors gave their well-prepared reports respectively. It is worth mentioning that Yuecun Wang, one Ph.D. Student of CAMP-Nano, gave her wonderful presentation and answered the questions from audiences on the workshop today.
The international workshop includes twenty seven invited reports and seven oral reports, which attracts about 140 participants from twenty more universities and institutes. The successive reports will last to the mid-day of June 3rd and the poster session will be held on June 2nd. Finally, the lab tour part will be arranged in the afternoon on the same day at the ending of the workshop.
