Congratulations to Shihao Li and Pingjiong Yang for their passing of the Doctoral Dissertation Defense
Shihao Li and Pingjiong Yang, both supervised by Prof. Weizhong Han from CAMP-NANO, have successfully completing their doctoral dissertation defense on May 16th, 2019 in room 210 of MSE building.
The oral defense committee, chaired by Prof. Jun Sun, comprises Prof. Zhongwei Chen, and Prof. Yuzeng Chen from Northwestern University of Technology, and Prof. Ping Huang, Prof. Shaobo Mi, Prof. Jinyu Zhang, and Prof. Wenjun Kuang from Xi’an Jiaotong University. Their magnificent performance was highly appreciated by the committee.
Shihao Li, joining CAMP-NANO in 2014, focused on investigation of micro- and nano-scale Al-Cu alloy for high strength and toughness and has published four peer-reviewed papers by first author on Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, and Materials (invited review), respectively and a related patent.
Pingjiong Yang, joining CAMP-NANO in 2014 as recommended student, has investigated on the mechanism of solute oxygen induced embrittlement, strengthening and toughening in body-centred-cubic Nb and published a peer-reviewed paper by first author on Acta Materialia and four related patents.
