Successful Conclusion of the 2012 Workshop on In Situ Electron Microscopy in Advanced Materials Research

On the morning of June 15th, the 2012 Workshop on In Situ Electron Microscopy in Advanced Materials Research came into the sixth session: Quantitative mechanical tests inside TEM. This part included five reports given by Prof. Raj Mishra, Prof. Jian Wang, Dr. Chuanhong Jin, and PhD student Qingjie Li, respectively.
Then, Prof. Zhiwei Shan, the executive director of CAMP-Nano, announced the outcome of poster evaluation. Lin Tian and Meng Li, the students from CAMP-Nano, were granted the gold medal. Ruofei Jia, the student of CAMP-Nano, was granted the silver award. Prof. Robert W.Carpick, Prof. Xiaoqing Pan and Prof. Yimei Zhu presented the prizes to them respectively.

In the afternoon, all the attendees visited CAMP-Nano, watched the demo experiments. Demo Experiments included: Environmental TEM Demo Experiments, Hitachi H-9500; In situ SEM Mechanical Test, Hysitron PI 85 & FIB; Multifunctional Nanomechanical Tests, Hysitron TI 950; Quantitatively in situ TEM Nanomechanical Tests, Hysitron PI 95, Gatan CCD Camera, FEG TEM.
