Receiving the notification from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation recently, Dr.Tian Lin has obtained Humboldt Fellowship and will leave for Germany for her further research work this summer.
Tian Lin, obtained her PhD degree in CAMP-Nano and now works as a young member of faculty in CAMP-Nano. During her PhD study, Tian Lin focused her research on metallic glasses and she has high-level papers on this subject published on several influential journals, such as Nature Communications and Acta Materialia. Particularly, one of her paper Approaching the ideal elastic limit of metallic glasses has been awarded as One of the top 100 influential international academic papers in China in 2012.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is a foundation established by the government of the Federal Republic of Germany, which promotes international academic cooperation between excellent scientists and scholars from Germany and from abroad. The foundation grants approximately 500 Humboldt Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers and experienced researchers annually. A Humboldt Research Fellowship allows researchers to carry out long-term research (6-24 months) in Germany. Applicants choose their own topic of research and their academic host.
