The 9th International Workshop on Materials Behavior at Micro- and Nano-Scale is Imminent

The 9th international workshop on materials behavior at micro- and nano-scale will be held on June 1-3, 2016 in Nanyang Hotel, Xi’an. The workshop is organized by the Center for Advancing Materials Performance from the Nanoscale (CAMP-Nano) and the State Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials of Xi’an Jiaotong University.
27 invited reports and 7 verbal reports are included in the workshop. The invitied speakers come from both domestic and overseas universities and research institutions, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pittsburgh, German Juelich Research Center, the University of New South Wales, Queensland University of Technology, the University of Sydney, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and so on.
About 140 people will attend the workshop. Till May 25, over 60 people have registered for this workshop. They come from about 20 universities and research institutions of China, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Metal, The Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Physics, Beihang University, China University of Petroleum, Jilin University and Chongqing University. Meanwhile, 50 people in our university will also attend.
From 14:30 to 18:30, May 31, participants should register at the lobby of Nanyang Hotel. At 8:30a.m. of June 1, the workshop will officially get start, and finally come to a close at 12:00 of June 3, and subsequently, the attendees will be arranged to visit CAMP-Nano in the afternoon. At 19:00 of June 2，The poster session will be held in the International Conference Hall of Nanyang Hotel, which deserves everybody’s expectation!
By virtue of the workshop, the exchange meeting of nano mechanics on application technology will be held in the School of Materials of XJTU on May 31, 2016. The meeting will be presented in the form of lectures plus live demonstrations. Combined with applications, some techniques of nano mechanical testing technology in scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), and environmental transmission electron microscope(ETEM) will be introduced. In addition, there are also related experimental demo during the exchange meeting.
