Five CAMPers, Prof. Zhiwei Shan, Technician Danli Zhang, Ph.D candidate Yuecun Wang, Xiaoguang Wang and Jiangjing Wang attended the 2016 Symposium on scanning transmission electron microscopy and related analysis techniques & The launch ceremony of quantum materials micro structure research center of Nanjing University held at Jun.27-30 in Nanjing, China.
The symposium included: scanning transmission electron microscopy technique theory, the related theory, technology and experimental methods of the loss and the energy spectrum spectral, and advantage, achievements and the latest progress of these techniques in basic and applied research of material science, life science, physics, environmental science, chemical and other fields. The symposium invited a number of domestic and foreign famous experts and scholars to do academic report, including Academician Ze Zhang, Qikun Xue, and Professor Darrell Schlom (Cornell University in the United States), Angus Kirkland (Oxford University in the UK) and Yuichi Ikuhara (University of Tokyo, Japan) etc.
During the meeting, the CAMPers also attended the lab view of the research and Prof. Shan gave an invited talk titled “In situ TEM study on the mechanical behavior of Si”.
