Five CAMPers Attended the 6th Chinese-Norwegian Symposium on Light Metals& New Energy
THE SIXTH CHINESE-NORWEGIAN SYMPOSIUM ON LIGHT METALS& NEW ENERGY was held in SJTU-Xuhui Campus from December 3rd to December 5th, 2017. Many scientists, researchers and engineers from light alloy and new energy fields both at home and abroad were invited to attend. The participating experts made reports and discussions on the research and development of light alloy and new energy development, new equipment, processing and preparation, experimental simulation and so on. Professor Zhiwei Shan, doctoral student Nan Yang, postgraduate Fei Liu, Jiao Li and Yuexian Hou from CAMP-Nano attended the seminar.
Prof. Zhiwei Shan gave a presentation entitled "High Strength magnesium alloy design based on in situ TEM observation". Prof. Shan introduced the present achievements and bright prospects of magnesium industry in Shaanxi Province. In the report, magnesium alloy research results were explained in detail and the report got great attention and praise.
The meeting set up magnesium alloy, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy three sub-venue, a total of about 190 people from home and abroad registered participants, a total of 91 reports, 28 posters . CAMPers benefited greatly in the symposium.
