CAMS2014 (the 3rd biennial conference of the Combined Australian Material Societies) was successfully held on 26-28 November, 2014, Charles Pekins Centre, University of Sydney.

  Prof. Zhiwei Shan, Executive Director of CAMP-Nano(Center for Advancing Materials Performance from the Nanoscale) presented and gave a speech on “Extraordinary mechanical behavior of submicron-sized single crystal metals” as the Plenary Speaker.

  The Combined Australian Materials Societies 2014 meeting is the third time that the Australian Ceramic Society and Materials Australia have held their biannual joint meeting (formerly Materials & Austceram). It covers the latest advances in materials science, engineering and technology. CAMS2014 featured world-renowned invited speakers, an intensive scientific program with six concurrent streams and a number of networking events, including a cruise on spectacular Sydney harbour. This program includes plenary and multi-concurrent sessions, keynote lectures and poster sessions All the invited speakers contributed their expertise to this prestigious event with the high standard presentations.
