Prof. Zhiwei Shan, Prof. Evan Ma, with other seven campers attended the TMS 2012 141st Annual Meeting & Exhibition (The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society) in Orlando, Florida, U.S. from March 11th to March 15th.

TMS is a professional organization that gathers materials science and engineering professionals hailing from more than 68 countries to network, present research, share industrial applications and introduce innovation. While compelling technical programming takes center stage at TMS2012, this meeting covers a vast of technical areas such as Advanced Characterization, Modeling and Materials Performance; High Performance Materials; Light Metals: Aluminum, Magnesium, and Titanium; Materials and Society: Energy and Sustainable Production; Materials Processing and Production; and Nanoscale and Amorphous Materials.

During the conference, campers Zhangjie Wang, Chengcai Wang, Qingjie Li and Lin Tian gave talks, while Ling Huang, Qingjie Li, Boyu Liu, and Degang Xie showed their recent work with posters separately, which attracted quite a lot of interests and warm discussions. Campers also had a short yet meaningful and unforgettable meeting with Prof. Subra Suresh and Prof. Ming Dao. The TMS provided campers a chance to communicate with top scientists face to face, enrich knowledge and broaden horizons, as well as show CAMP-Nano to the world.
