Research Interest
Study of microstructures such as crystallographic orientation, dislocation structure and strain/stress in crystals including metals, alloys, ceramics, and minerals using microscopy (SEM, TEM) and diffraction techniques (X-ray diffraction and electron diffraction).
Study of the influence of the microstructures of metals and alloys such as the heterogeneous structure materials and 3D-printing nickel based superalloy on their mechanical properties.
High-speed methods to analyze Laue microdiffraction data, and the characterization of dislocation structure by synchrotron x-ray microdiffraction.
