Successful Conclusion of the 2013 Workshop on Advancing Materials Performance from the Nanoscale

On the morning of June 14th, the 2013 Workshop on Advancing Materials Performance from the Nanoscale came into the fifth session: Advanced Materials Research III. This part included six reports given by Prof. Scott X Mao, Prof. Yuntian Zhu, Prof. Guang Yang, Prof. Yunfeng Shi, Prof. Yong Yang and PhD student Lin Tian, respectively.

Then, Prof. Zhiwei Shan, the executive director of CAMP-Nano, announced the outcome of poster evaluation. Sheng Dai, the student of Tsinghua University, was granted the gold award. Lan Lv, the student of CAMP-Nano, was granted the silver award. Penghan Lu and Yuan Yue, the students from CAMP-Nano, were granted the bronze award. Prof. Yuntian Zhu, Prof. Raja K. Mishra, Prof. Yunfeng Shi and Prof. Daniel S. Gianola presented the prizes to them respectively. And then Prof. Shan made a summary of this workshop and thanked every speakers and every campers to make this workshop a success.

In the afternoon, all the attendees visited CAMP-Nano. Prof. Shan showed them around the laboratory and students office, and introduced the equipment on-going researches as well as future development plans of CAMP-Nano.
