Prof. C. R. Hutchinson, the professor in Department of Materials Engineering, Monash University (Australia), was invited by Prof. Han to visit the School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) from November 7th to 12th. During this time, Prof. C. R. Hutchinson gave two presentations which were organized by ZHOU HUIJIU FORUM.

On Nov. 8th , Prof. C. R. Hutchinson gave the presentation named the fatigue behaviour of underaged Aluminium alloys. After the presentation, He was awarded the honor certification of Zhou Huijiu Forum. On Nov. 9th Prof. C. R. Hutchinson gave the presentation named Precipitation hardening of ultra-low carbon martensite: towards ‘lean’ Maraging metallurgy.
简介：Christopher Hutchinson教授于2001年在美国弗吉尼亚州大学获得博士学位，2007年至今在莫纳什大学材料工程系历任讲师、副教授，现任教授。他的研究方向包括：1）相变热力学、动力学以及金属固态相变；2）材料微观组织结构与其力学性能的关系。已发表论文80余篇，参与4部著作编写，国际会议受邀报告30余次。曾获2016 Critical Pipelines Project (NSW State Award and Australian National Award, Civil Engineering Collaboration)创新研究奖，RoboArch2015 最佳科学论文奖等。
